Los Angeles Lakers Team U With One Piece for Game Night Collab Feb. 28

LOS ANGELES – In a first-of-its-kind collaboration, Japan's global anime phenomenon ONE PIECE joins forces with the Los Angeles Lakers for a legendary game night collab Friday, Feb. 28 as the Lakers take on the Clippers at Crypto.com Arena.

The night will feature ONE PIECE themed experiences, including a first look at an animation featuring Luffy playing basketball. Special Lakers-inspired visuals of all 10 characters in the Straw Hat Pirates Crew will be released on social media in celebration of the game.

Fans in attendance will receive a limited-edition Lakers x ONE PIECE T-shirt and a poster featuring newly revealed artwork of the beloved Straw Hat Pirates in Lakers' purple and gold. Fans at the game can capture the magic of this night at the ONE PIECE Bounty Rush photo booth on the main concourse inside Crypto.com Arena. In addition, randomly selected fans will be invited to compete for prizes in a special on-court ONE PIECE game.

ONE PIECE, created by Eiichiro Oda, began serialization in Shueisha's "Weekly Shonen Jump," issue 34, released on July 22, 1997. Still going strong, it celebrated its 25th anniversary in July 2022. Series Synopsis
