Fairy Tail 2's Intense Battles are Heating Up in Action-Packed Trailer

A Special KOEI TECMO Livestream from TGS 2024 to Unveil Exclusive New Gameplay!

BURLINGAME, Calif. – Sept. 27, 2024 – Today at Tokyo Game Show 2024, KOEI TECMO America and developer Gust unveiled new details about the combat system in FAIRY TAIL 2, the new action RPG based on the popular manga and anime franchise FAIRY TAIL. In an epic new trailer, fans can discover more about real-time battles that Natsu and his friends will encounter when fighting against Emperor Spriggan Zeref and his elite team, the Spriggan 12. A direct sequel to KOEI TECMO's 2020 game, FAIRY TAIL 2 will be released Dec. 13 across the PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, and Nintendo Switch™, and Dec. 11 on Windows PC via Steam®.

To capture the intensity and thrill of the Alvarez Empire Arc, FAIRY TAIL 2 features revamped real-time magical battles packed with even more spectacular action. In addition to their powerful emblematic attacks, the FAIRY TAIL guild members will unleash impressive attacks in cooperation with their allies by using “Link Attacks” and “Unison Raid” to defeat their enemies. Speed, precision and synergy will be the key to a triumphant strategy over the formidable Spriggan 12 MAGES.

In the newly unveiled trailer, fans get a glimpse of the new character progression mechanics that will allow them to create their own FAIRY TAIL experience by managing the skill progression of their favorite characters. Players will also be able to deepen their FAIRY TAIL experience by unlocking character stories as they advance through the story, giving them the opportunity to discover new facets of these beloved characters thanks to brand-new, original sequences and interactions.

Additionally, during the “KOEI TECMO LIVE! at TGS 2024” livestream on Sept. 27, 2024, fans will discover more about the game through live gameplay footage with special guests Tetsuya Kakihara (CV Natsu), Sayaka Ōhara (CV Erza), and the game's producer, Hiroshi Kataoka.

In addition to the standard edition which is now available for pre-order, a special edition will also be exclusively available through the NIS America store. The “FAIRY TAIL 2 GUILD BOX” edition includes the base game, the visual artbook “Sorcerer Magazine Special Issue: Game Release Edition Vol.2” inspired by the “Sorcerer Magazine” as seen in the original work, a Special Shikishi with Holographic Finish (three types in total), and more.

Fans will be also able to digitally pre-order the “FAIRY TAIL 2 Digital Deluxe Edition” at a later date which will include additional in-game content such as costumes, characters, scenarios, and various DLC to enhance the game experience! More information will be shared soon.

Everyone who either physically or digitally purchases FAIRY TAIL 2 will also have access to the “Miss FAIRY TAIL Contest” costume for Lucy as an early purchase bonus which will be available to download from the digital storefronts until Dec. 27, 2024.
