New Nintendo 3DS Gets Limited Super Famicom/SNES Design in Japan

Nintendo announced during its Nintendo Direct presentation for Japan on Thursday that it will release a New Nintendo 3DS XL system with a Super Famicom (Super Nintendo Entertainment System, or SNES) design. The system will ship in mid-April in Japan for 21,600 yen (about US$189) including tax.
The system accompanies the announcement of SNES games launching on New Nintendo 3DS. The games will not be available on regular Nintendo 3DS.
In North America, Pilotwings, Super Mario World, and F-Zero launched on Thursday and will be followed by Super Mario Kart, Earthbound (Mother 2), and Donkey Kong Country on March 24 and The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Super Metroid, and Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest on April 14.
In Europe, Super Mario World and Earthbound launched on Thursday and will be followed by The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past and Super Metroid on March 10, F-Zero and Super Mario Kart on March 17, and Donkey Kong Country and Donkey Kong Country 2 on March 24.
In Japan, Super Mario World, Donkey Kong Country, F-Zero, Earthbound, and The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past launched on Thursday. They will be followed by more titles, pictured below.
