SCE Germany Marketing: 2.2 Million PS Vitas Sold Worldwide

Sony Computer Entertainment Germany's marketing director Uwe Bassendowski revealed at last week's GamesCom event in Germany that Sony has sold 2.2 million PlayStation Vita units worldwide. However, this is not officially released data with a breakdown by region. Bassendowski added that they want to focus marketing for the device more on young people, after not doing enough in this regard earlier. Sony had announced in February that 1.2 million were sold worldwide.
