Try clicking on the link Anime under Encyclopedia, then when on that page, click where it says topic 10 anime/manga on the right.

The top 10 on ANN is just a list of the 10 best rated here on this website, I don't think it is what ev0luti0nzer0 is looking for.

Hmm... at the end of each year, one of the Japanese anime magazines puts out a "Top 50(?)" readers survey of anime, characters, etc. (Animage, I think?) That's really the only
"Top xx" list I can think of, but even that's based on reader's votes.

There should be archives online somewhere, but if you wait around long enough, someone will post this year's lists at the end of the year.

NewType USA might put one out, but I'm not sure.

Yea, Newtype has a bunch of lists in it, with top anime, top character, and stuff like that. At least it was in the issue I bought.

i remember there was a website that had the top 10 anime in japan, per month. it was based off of a survey on the otaku though, and didn't reflect actual TV ratings. so like Hikaru no Go during its run was 5th, whereas it was #1 in the TV ratings.

i don't remember the site though.

There's a website updated every month (hum...No, I think it's every two weeks), which shows the top 20 anime DVD boxes sold, and the top 20 for the anime music Cd's...

I can post it here, if that is what you want...

CD Japan

http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/anime/

That's what I said. Apart from being a really great information website, you have at the right columns the 20 best sellers for "Anime/Game Music CD" and for "Anime DVD". I can't realize no one know this site...

There was another one of the most seen animes, uploaded every week. Anyways, I can't remember it, and probably I should ask a lot of people....Too lazy, hehe. But if that's what you want, just say so, and I'll try to do everything that I can.
