Since Bleach is more well known for it's manga because the anime isn't even out yet, I decided to post this thread in here. Recently a BLEACH videogame as been announced by Sony, so it's pretty much safe to assume it'll be a PS2 game. Other than that, there haven't really been any details released, especially on what type of videogame it'll be.
Personally, I'm hoping for more of a RPG game because the story of Bleach is perfect for that type of thing. However, there has been a screenshot in one of the newest Shonen Jump's of a Bleach Videogame, and it looks to be a fighting game. If anyone's intrested in seeing the screenshot, just tell me in this thread and I'll post it. |

Usually companys make half-assed games for big properties like this because they know it will still sell big (thats why theres a diffrent Gundam game thats on the top of the Japanese charts every two months). My guess is that they will make it an action game, maybe with some RPG elements. In any case I doubt it will see release in the US, as none of the many Naruto/One Piece games have ever been released stateside.

I don't care if it ever makes a US release. I know that a very small percentage of anime games make it here, so that's why I import.

An RPG of BLEACH would be nice, but chances are, it will be a fighting game, as is most of Shonen Jump's manga (Beet the vandel buster, PoT, YYH...). A fighting game where you can swith between RPG and 2D fighitng would be nice. Even if it is a fighting game I hope it does have some RPG elements. Also screenshot please

I'm hoping that it's not going to be cell shaded, because as proven in that screen shot, it looks like crap with Kubotite's style. I'm hoping that's just a sort of concept example or something since the game WAS just announced. Scan credit: arex_kun of the soul_society LJ community. |
