Like a number of shows/movies in general, anime tends to have some rather funny moments. The humor can be wacked, witty, confusing, WTF?! worthy, random, disgusting, and even light hearted. I'm curious to hear from you guys about what scene(s) in anime have made you fall out of your chair laughing or something similar to that reaction.
Some of my favorites would be the following: Ouran High School Host Club - The episode when spoiler[the Hitachin twins were pretending to have a fight. The entire episode was funny, but the food fight scene was brilliant. I died from laughing so hard when they were throwing random crap at each other while yelling "POI POI POI POI POI!!". I love those devilish twins so very much.] Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu - spoiler[When Sanosuke blew up his school locker because he found someone "tampered" with it and thought that there might be a bomb inside. Also, the Student Council President agreeing that his reasoning was legit.] Ultimate Teacher OAV - spoiler[I remember this one scene where the guys were all dressed in kiddy underwear to mock Ganpachi sensei (because she wears them and has a strong emotional attachment to them since she was in kindergarden). The part where they were marching towards her yelling "Trump! Trump! Trump!" and then thrusting their pelvis at her while yelling "Swing! Swing! Swing!" was hysterical. I watched this in English Dub and it was pure comical gold.] I have a few others but thats all I can think of at the top of my head (with it being almost 4 in the morning for me  .)

Hard to narrow it down to certain scenes rather than certain episodes, but one of my absolute favorites is:
Gintama, Yoshiwara Arc, Episode 140 from about 2:00-7:20 Tsukuyo Kunai Scene I really practically did fall out of my chair on this one. The fact that Tsukuyo went along with everything despite the obviousness of it all paired with Gintoki's dialog and the length of the scene was too much for me to bear. I can't even do justice in summarizing it so I'll include a link for those bored enough! |

I almost always bring this scene up whenever I talk about School Rumble: [spoiler] When Harima's doing his stretches in the nude, discovers he forgot his swim trunks, and gets walked in on my Eri. As his attempts to stop Eri from screaming for help and making him look like some pervy sex predator only make him look MORE like a pervy sex predator, Akira walks in. You'd expect a freak-out. You'd expect a polite 'excuse me, you two are busy'. Instead, she accurately states the events that led up to this situation and chides Harima for his idiocy. I love it.[/quote]

Hanamaru Kindergarten - When Anzu, Koume and Hiiragi try to cheer up Naozumi by doing a water dance, but Anzu falls out of her floating and Koume gets carried away by a group of guys. I fell down laughing.
Lucky Star - When Konata draws pictures of the girls and Kagami is drawn breathing fire. Konata pisses Kagami off, and she literally starts breathing fire. I lol'd so bad. Azumanga Daioh - When Tomo, Kagura and Osaka create the "knuckleheads" and troll on Chiyo by beating her on a test with a score of 103. This was a defining moment for me in AD. |

^This. Definitely one of my picks as well! And it was amplified later with: "Hey, Eri! Did you find your sun-tan lotion?" "I never got the chance to look..." 
Samurai Champloo "Bogus Booty" Pretty much this whole episode is drop-dead hilarious ("...my back..."), but most notably the beginning when they're fishing. Mugen actually mimics Jin and it's so accurate in both voice delivery and animation that I was actually laughing harder than Fuu was! Watch it for yourself! Full Metal Panic: 2nd Raid Bonus Episode Probably the only thing FMP that made me laugh, spoiler[when Tessa wanders into Sousuke half asleep and half-drunk looking like this and proceeds to come onto him. Usually that kind of thing isn't all that funny, but the additions that AL puts in just made that scene: "Situation... Critical!" "Suggest Immediate Pursuit!"] That episode -no- that one scene was 100x funnier than all of FUMOFFU's episodes combined. I also remember laughing pretty hard in Ramen Fighter Miki's first episode that featured the creepy teacher. But it's been so long since I've seen it that I can't really be specific, I just remember that my kidneys were nearly bursting... |

Magical Play - Basically the entire series had me laughing non-stop, but the parts that REALLY had me gasping for breath were any scene with Ketchup and Mustard, and the episodes "When You Wish Upon a Star" spoiler[The main chars accidentally and unknowingly destroyed the Earth by bombarding it with shooting stars, cause ya know, seeing one makes people happy, and they wanted to make as many people happy as possible!] and "The Queen of Multiple Choice" spoiler[Some of the multiple-choice options were just hysterical, plus at the end when you get a hint as to how Pipin and MyuMyu's simulations went based on their reactions.].
Otome Yōkai Zakuro - The fight scene in episode 3, where spoiler[Zakuro asks Agemaki to back her up and he starts signing and dancing (they set that one joke up over 3 episodes BTW, which is why it was funny, it wouldn't be funny at all if it came out of nowhere)], caused me to spit out my soda laughing. Luckily I got my hand up in time, cause I could not afford to replace the laptop I had just bought a month earlier. |

Azumanga Daioh has been mentioned, but I'd have to say it's from there - the scene when spoiler[they're all spending summer at a beach house, and Osaka decides to wake up Yukari... with a gigantic knife.]

I don't know if there's an episode of Air Gear that doesn't make me laugh my ass off at least once. But for others....
My sis showed this to me the other day on Netflix--an episode of Ouran High School Host Club--it was a dream sequence that Tamaki had of going over to Haruhi's house and finding out that she was insanely poor and all. That shit was hilarious. A number of lines from Baccano! make me laugh. spoiler[Randy: Hey, Maiza! How come killin' us didn't make us dead?] for one off the top of my head. And from my newest DVD, Soul Eater Part 1, I laughed out loud a couple of times. One I remember distinctly is spoiler[the episode where Kid comes to school and Soul and Black Star try to fight him. BS tries to use Soul as a weapon but fails miserably, then Soul and BS get into this whole SD form 'running towards each other as if they're long lost lovers' thing about still being able to be friends even though BS can't use Soul as a weapon. The part I lol'd on is when Kid interrupts them out of the blue by shooting the living hell out of both of them.] There are tons of scenes in anime that make me laugh hysterically, but I can't think of too many right now. Maybe later. |

Samurai Champloo- when Jin and Fuu are waiting for Mugen to save them, while he is... well, having fun.
As well as the whole baseball game episode. From FMA1, and the episode when Havoc is about to meet his soon spoiler[not-to-be-girlfriend], major Armstrong's sister. I love that scene. And finally, Skip Beat! Hard to pick one, I was laughing so much throughout the whole series, but lets say the scene in which Kyoko, dressed up as a chicken, faces Sho in the studio, and interferes with his interview. The beadmington game is a sight to die for. |

Oh yes! I loved that scene too. It was awesome. Another good one from Soul Eater is: spoiler[Death the Kid's obsession with symmetry. When he was having trouble writing the letter "K" for his name on his test paper and then starts crying when he can't get it to look symmetical. Also, him having a spaz attack and then an aneurysm after he rips his paper when trying to erase the "poorly written K" on it.] |

Heh... the two that spring to mind are sort of related in theme. I suppose that says something about my mindset today.
Fruits Basket: Hatsuharu method of proving to the class president that his two-toned hair color is natural... that "beat" of silence after the door slams and Tohru's "huh?" sort of reaction crack me up every time. Koko wa Greenwood: From the moment when Hasukawa finds out spoiler[Shun isn't a girl] through to his punching Mitsuru. Again, that "beat" of silence when he realizes is just timed so perfectly... |

I love the scene On Welcome to The NHK where Sato'sspoiler[ about to kill himself and you think the girls gonna say some nice things but ends up saying some pretty messed up stuff instead]
I have another Full Metal Panic Fumoffu one where spoiler[ Sanosuke is getting supplies before heading to school and he picks up a condom and says he's used it before everyones shocked but then he says he's used it to contain water] that dude is crazy hahahaha |

I have seen quite a few funny scenes, so they would have to be pretty high for mention.
Clannad - There is plenty of comedy in this series, but my favourite most hilarious scene has to be the prank of Tomoya where even he had to hold his laughter in, that is when he tricked Fuuko into spoiler[beliving that he turned into Ryou. And she had to respond with "it falls off sometimes" and other responses that freak Fuuko] that is one of my favourites. Kanon 2006 - Simular to above it was another practical joke, this time Yuuichi he tricked Makoto into spoiler[going to the store to buy porn,] oh the reaction afterwards is great. Though I might also give some credit to a certain bath scene. Inukami! - Good series, I always enjoyed the ED as it had a catchy tune and was cute, but in one particular episode they give an alternate version a spoiler[macho man] version, I am not sure if I had laughed that hard in some time. Quite possibly one of the cloesest time I have been to actually rolling on the floor laughing. |

The scene in Karin when spoiler[Usui's mother crawls into the laundry closet and shuts the door so Usui and Karin can have a talk and then opens it a little bit to wave a small flag, say "guts, guts!" and blow a whistle, all while you can't see her,] that's some of the best comic timing I've ever seen in anime. I LOL'd so hard.
