Yet another query instigated from a thread on AoD...

http://forums.animeondvd.com/showflat.php?Cat=&Number=570373&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=7&fpart=1&vc=1

I wonder if it's true...

>.< I love kodocha, but since it's a long series that's not on my priority list, I only have about 3 volumes. Damn, I hope they didn't lose the license, but it wouldn't surprise me. There's talk they lost the sailor moon manga license too.

Yeah, I thought they had lost that license...which is a shame because I was hoping for them to release the rereleases of the Sailor Moon manga.

I wouldn't mind seeing Del Rey pick it up, though.

Man, I hope that's not the case. I have most of the manga, only missing 2 or 3 volumes. I'll have to make a point of finding them this summer.

I've got though the whole series already, but I don't want to see TP lose Kodocha! It's such a good series...

I don't think you'll have to worry about getting the missing books. There seem to be quite a few places that still have them.

Eeks! That's no good. Ever since I started buying manga (about a year ago), I've wanted to start Kodocha. At first the numerous volumes scared me off, and other times the uber-chibi art, but I still want it! I haven't started it yet and I better soon! Oh, so they lost their license for Sailor Moon? (But obviously this is old news that I've just never heard...) That's bad, I only have 9 and I need 9 more...

I don't think Tokyopop's that stupid. Most likely, they're preparing a re-release to coincide with the inevitable FUNimation broadcast of the anime.

How many volumes is the TP release? I have the Japanese "perfect collection" in 7 oversized books, but I don't know how many tankoban that breaks down into.

I was surprised at how it related to the anime. The first third of the manga was made into only 20 eps, then the next 30 eps were made from almost no manga. I'll have to see how the rest pans out, but I haven't finished reading it all yet.

That would make sense with Kadocha but the AoD people also mentioned Marmalade Boy as missing from the website.

Also, I think if you were going to release a special edition, you still don't take the old info down.

They might want to re-package the manga with the anime.

Maybe they're updating the sites?
