No offense to anyone who might be interested in this, but I'm not sure I like the idea of my favorite manga (who already have successful anime adaptations) to be made into live-action movies. Call me a purist, but if anybody should handle the rights to make a film based off a manga, it should be the Japanese companies.

Uh, Viz Productions, the company handling the rights to make a film based on these manga, is a part of Viz Media, which is owned by Shogakukan and Shueisha. Which are Japanese companies.

I know that, but Viz might still mess this up. What if they were to get American actors to play some of the characters? I would prefer to see a Japanese actor play Ichigo. Besides, we have anime adaptations that have been a huge success. I see no reason to have a live-action movie adaptation.

Dark Elf: Well, Toriyama's consent was needed for the DB movie, and it still sucks, so...

*shrugs.* I don't see a reason not to make one.
Or is it just odd that I'm not upset at all about a Hollywood adaption?
