Heh, I just noticed Shining Dragon on GameFAQs' release list a few days ago and went "What the heck?"
http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/ps2/data/938919.html For what it's worth, they give a different date too, 10/26/08. |

Ack, if only I had a DS. >.< I really want to get the new Harvest Moon game. I really love the series, and never really get bored of it. And this one sounds interesting.

I'm probably gonna get Shining Dragon.
I'm a whore for games based on anime/manga I read. This is why I invested in Naruto: Rise of a Ninja, even though I knew it'd most likely suck (and it didn't let me down on that one!). |

I don't know what it was about Bangai- O Spirits. I am a HUGE fan of the Dreamcast version and just a huge fan of Treasure overall, but I just couldn't get into Spirits. I didn't like it at all.

I was quite dissappointed with Bangai-O Spirits at first, as it was quite different from the (fantastic) DC version, but as I progressed in the game, I grew to love it. It's more of a puzzle/shooter compared to the DC Bangai-O and it's a game-format that works quite well on the DS. Playing around with the weapons, finding the fastest way to the exit, dying for the 180510510th time because of a stray bullet, great game.
I do miss the crazy dialogue from the DC though. |

Bangai-O Spirits is indeed awesome.
Question is, will Shining Dragon have English voices? |

I'm not getting Too Human. The demo was horrible to me.
So, the only game I will be getting is Time Hollow. Bangai-O wasn't that fun to me. |

Horrible? More like passable (69% on GameRankings). Still a huge disappointment. |

True, but when you look at the reasons behind that it probably doesn't apply here. Some well reviewed games don't sell but then that's because they're rather strange and unusual concepts. People often look at them and unfortunately, opt for some generic shooter instead. Those are really the exception to the rule as well. The majority of well reviewed games do sell well. Look at MGS4 or GTA4. Also, Bulletproof sold because it had 50 cent in it and unfortunately, there are a lot of dumb 50 cent fans who will buy an especially crappy generic shooter game just because he's in it. The same kind of thing is usually true of other crappy games that sell well. They have some sort of stupid but ultimately effective draw. Anyway, I personally have been convinced by the reviews to not buy Too Human. There's enough other stuff coming out soon that I'll pass. |

Man... Bangai-O is so overrated. It's not nearly as great as Treasure's other offerings. If you want portable Treasure fun, go for Gunstar Super Heroes or Astro Boy: Omega Factor.
I'm really looking forward to Tales of Vesperia. The Tales games aren't that interesting in plot, but the presentation is usually worth it. More importantly, NO RANDOM BATTLES. |

Hm hm, I guess Infinite Undiscovery will be covered in next week's article, since it comes out the 29th. But yeah, 'Tales of' games are always well done, if not very original storywise.
As for Too Human, I loved the demo, though the style of fighting took me a couple playthroughs to get used to, and I'm happy to be going to play it shortly after finishing this post. And thank you, thank you, thank you for mentioning "From the Abyss". I had not heard about this, but anything that can cleanse the sh*t stain that was Children of Mana from my memory is quite welcome. And I'm still waiting for Seiken Densetsu 3 (Secret of Mana 2) to show up either on the Game Boy Advance, redone for the DS, or on the Wii Shop Channel as one of their overpriced "Import" downloads. |
