Before anyone gets excited, lets get it clear that KeroKero ace is a children's manga anthology and hence any dealings will be with a 9-13 year old demographic in mind.

Great, so that means this manga will be G rated and almost no action scenes? Why would Slayers be put in a kid magazine anyway?

I'm happy that Slayers is still popular, but I'm having a hard time picturing Lina and the gang in the future. Oh well, I'm sure good writers can pull it off just fine.

Slayers should NOT be futuristic. It's appeal is the fantasy elements. Argh

What is it that the late Arthur C. Clark said:
Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.
I think a series like Scrapped Princess is a perfect example of this. It's quite possible to make a very convincing fantasy in a sci-fi setting, and vica verca.

Shonen Jump is aimed at the same age group. Do they lack for action scenes?

But not all of Shonen Jump titles are made for kids, most of them are directed for teenagers to adults. Since all I can find is images of Card Captor Sakura mascot, Kero, I assume KeroKero Ace means "Flying Mouse Ace".
I've always thought Slayers was set in a fantasy aspect, not futuristic setting.

You are aware it's called Kerokero Ace because it caters to Sgt. Frog, which contains action. It also runs Gundam 00 and Soulcalibur Legends according to the wiki.

Wait wait wait, Slayers set in the FUTURE? How are they going to explain Zelgadiss?
...
Unless they make him some kind of... I don't know, cyborg? Alien? Suffering from some terrible skin disease? (called Golem-itis?)
