INTEREST: Aya Hirano's Rolling Stone Cover Photoshoot Streamed

It's kinda interesting to see voice actors in celebrity status. There are tons of actors out there who are working hard as usual and most of them don't even get a spotlight from mainstream press nor become a household name.

I'm not a fan of Aya Hirano nor a fan of any voice actors, but what I've seen, she has established strong impression about herself. When I saw her Japanese TV appearance back few years ago (Anime Giga, I think), she showed her exuberance and outgoing attitude which made her stand out. Also, her recent personal issues garnered more attention which is common for celebrity figure.

Nowadays, fans have a thing or two for voice actors. So it's fun to see how these relatively unknown actors ride the fame.

it's kind of interesting to see the state of humanity at all in a place where low contributing professions in general specifically in fields of entertainment achieve 'celebrity status', instead of scientists, talented businessmen (with a few exceptions), and economists (wow think how that would've solved our woes if social status translates to drawing of talents) and how such a lowly-describing term as 'celebrity' that inferences the degradation of this society is used at such high frequency. is there anything wrong with today's society? well, just look around you. i'm sure people from a more intellectual era likewise had their likes and dislikes and hobbies and had their indulgences from artists they admired, but i would doubt any of them would achieve a mindless 'celebrity status' as often described today. intellectual appreciation is much different from worship. and here we have another implication that 'celebrity status' is even becoming the standard of success. quite sad. sure, you can easily throw critiques of today's society into the realms of geeks and mark it off, but then it makes quite oxymoronic to protest on the streets when social degradation translates to you out of money and a job.

Isn't she more famous for being a singer in a band that with she later shagged the entire members of?

She's basically swimming against the current and trying to jump the falls of Japanese cultural idolic worship attitudes and expectations. If she can miss the journalist bears waiting to rip her flesh from bone she'll be successful in bringing her career back from the dead. Good luck to her with that.
