Warner Brothers eh? I wonder if that ensures a US release? The movie looks like a lot of fun, I'm looking forward to it.

I doubt it will make a U.S. release.
I don't think Cutey Honey is that popular and I think all the costumes in the movie will make watchers be a bit akward and left confused. |

ADV needs to get some Cutey Honey shown on Cartoon Network before Warner USA considers releasing it here.

Well, if it's an ADV property, the chance of a CN run is doubtful. The relationship between the two was a little soured by Giant Robot Week if I recall correctly, plus ADV's gonna be hoarding their own properties anyway for The Anime Network.

Guess it's going to be going on the anime network if anything. Oh how I wish it was a mainstream channel.
Gotta say though that Honey's outfit doesn't look as cool as it did in newtype. >.> |

Giant Robot Week on toonami showed a bunch of different giant robot shows, among them were Nadisco and Evangelion. Both shows got hacked to hell by CN and they've been on bad terms with ADV ever since, or so I hear.

Also, Giant Robot Week was a tremendous failure in the ratings. That's the other big reason.

not a "failure", as in "ratings plumetted"... but "not a success", as in "ratings didn't increase to any noticable degree" it went as well as any other toonami broadcast week, more or less.. but the failure was because it only did as well as any other toonami week. |
