So limit seeing the ending to people that can already see the ending? Smart move...

DAMMIT!!!!

This is just what I was afraid of happening! Now I have to wait for the DVD release to see it!

Wow, they are being super secretive about it too - warning everyone not to even tell people the location that it will be shown at...

Don't worry, seeing how other (over-the-air) stations are already airing Higurashi, AT-X will most likely air School Days.

Unfortunately, you're right.

To be fair, the game has many possible endings and for all we know, the anime ending could be an original, so of course people who already played the game would also want to see. I'm feeling very doubtful that AT-X will air the last episode if Overflow is using it to boost sales...

To see the last episode you have to have an UNOPENED version of the game?

Hahahahaha, that's a great marketing ploy.

Agreed, I think Overflow just wants to boost sales like everyone is saying, after that AT-X will air it for all to see (and enjoy)

Remember that these shows are primarily aimed at otaku who've already played the original games (an attempt to sell collectibles to them, as opposed to an attempt to draw in new fans, although that's a potential side effect). People come into these series already knowing the whole story, which is why they're so anal in terms of faithfulness to source material.

Yeah, that's the ridiculous and most shameless part of the whole thing. Any existing fan of either the game or anime would have to invest in a new copy if they want to attend the showing (no surprise since this is 0verflow's event, not Avex's).

Yeah, it'd be odd for Stack/0verflow to host such an event if AT-X intends to broadcast the episode this week.

We'll find out soon enough.

I remember just clicking on this show trying to find a feel good anime, little did I know what I was getting myself into. After the 4th episode I was like "wait a minute this is all messed up, this guy is a player!?" Either way it drew me in and I dont think one of us here can't relate to this group of characters in one way or another.

We all knew that one guy in high school who was sleeping around with mutiple girls and his girlfriend was clueless to the whole thing. That other chick who stepped on others to get her way, or that person who was generally nice and innocent but got involved in the wrong crowd. Maybe thats why I like this show so much, but I could be wrong, those are just my thoughts after all...back to the main point, dear god let them air Episode 12 lol

Not necessarily. Would you pay more money to see something that you really wanted to see a day early?

The whole series, at times, seems as a way to get people to buy the game, heh. I haven't really enjoyed it, way too sensationalist for its own sake for me.

AT-X would be crazy not to show episode 12. They will have maximum ratings for it as the only broadcaster to show it. Every fan of the show (and curious onlookers) will be either watching live or have their video recorders going.

I don't think there are very many underage fans.
