I checked the product web page, the email notice that I got, and this posted press release, and I haven't found an answer. Does anyone know if this artbox is made of folded cardboard(the light wieght flexible kind), or made of chipboard(the inflexible hard kind)?
I must say the choice of original artwork for the box is very nice and the color palette for the sky on the spine is quite striking. Should look great on my shelf. 
The puzzle idea is a neat one. I've never had a release with a puzzle in it. From looking at the picture I see that both of them are 63 pieces. I wonder if there is some sort of meaning behind that number. If not, it would have been nice to have one easy puzzle and one hard one. Of course I imagine making any puzzle over 200 pieces and it would increase the price of the release. They've already put more in this $35 release than most $40 releases. Really though with Rightstuf/Nozomi products I wouldn't mind as much(paying a bit more), since they almost always have high quality insert booklets, fair amounts of on-disc extras, and consistently better authored DVDs than other companies. Of course I can only speak from my experience. |

With all the effort they are putting into this box, I'm pretty sure its chipboard. It would be stupid to get the original artist to do new work for the box and the stick it on flimsy cardboard.
In any case, it looks great. |

I can't wait to own this. I'm really pleased that Right Stuf has been able to do so many wonderful art boxes lately. I don't know if it's strictly a sign of good sales or if it's just a fan pleasing action, but I do like it. (Must get Ninja Nonsense soon.)
Kadokawa has been putting out a lot of damn good anime. I hope they keep doing things right like this for a long time. I still don't get the puzzles with The Third though. Why puzzles? (I'm not complaining, I'm just perplexed.) |

Spiral had a puzzle. Never opened it-small box like one can find in a hospital gift shop.
It has to be better than the Saiunkoku artbox which is just scary. I really can't see using that one--I'm worried my dvds would scratch one another (About the size of a CD case & the wide of those puzzles I mentioned-shiny black. Inside opend with a red accordian-like thing I guess one could put the dvds in if one were the trusting sort.) The only way I'll use it is if I cannibalize the Newtype preview disc sleeves to protect the discs. I'd have preferred one of the thin-paks like Kyo Kara Maoh or Requiem From the Darkness or a regular box Though I do believe the boxes I've gotten from RightStuff have all been very sturdy-even deadly in their solidness. One could hurt someone with the Gravi box. |

This is a heavy chipboard box. The images on the box are custom made by Nao Goto especially for the release! And thanks for your kind comments. Enjoy! |

In Japan, in some of the limited edition releases of this product, they have been including puzzles. Plus, it's another chance to get out some more great artwork - Nao Goto made the pictures for the puzzles as well. |
