Hey, did anyone else happen to check the Pillows MySpace page last week? They had 4 brand new songs up there from (I'm assuming) a brand new album, but checking back today, they're back to having 3 FLCL songs and one new song, "Ladybird Girl." Anyone know what's up with that, or if the band has a new record more recent than My Foot out there?

The pillows released the album Wake up! Wake up! Wake up! in May of 2007. You can check the list of tracks at: http://www.amazon.co.jp/Wake-pillows/dp/B000O5B12M Ladybird girl is a single released in August. |

Ooh, I'm glad you posted this. I didn't know about Ladybird girl. One song from Wake up! Wake up! Wake up! was used in the anime Moonlight Mile. The song is Scarecrow. Great song.

I got their single a couple weeks back. It's good. "Ladybird girl" is supposed to be the new theme for "Ben10" and "Boat House" from "Wake Up X3" is going to be the end theme for "Moonlight Mile Season 2."
Oh, and it's just a rumor at the moment, but they're supposed to be back in America sometime in February. Someone overheard the people at Benten Label at the GO!GO!7188 show talking about it in NYC. |

I also didn't know about the new single, thanks for the info.
I think their new album is pretty good, but not great. I wasn't really into "Serious Plan," and what in the world does "Sweet Baggy Days" mean? "The Pleasure Song" and "Century Creepers" were really cool, though. I haven't seem them live yet, so I need to make a serious effort to get to their next concert. I'm hoping they tour America again, but Philly always gets skipped. |
