Greetings. I am looking for some "prof" help in figuring out the title of a cartoon/anime, which i saw on danish TV station, TV Danmark roughly 10 years ago
I know there are not that many danes here, but one could get luck. It’s not a danish series, as our cartoons are rubbish :p It was in english, but i am not sure where it was made (Japan, USA, Europe, Korea) and i have no clue in regards of the title of the cartoon/anime. I'll try and describe the characters and the plot at the best of my ability (and memory) The setting is a classic, Earth is targeted by aliens, who have infiltrated the US government, and military. The first episodes, features the alien "king" and his older brother (i think) approaching the earth aboard a space ship. The king wants to make a peaceful approach to the earth, but he is betrayed by his brother, who seizes power, and the king is forced to flee to the earth, where he, along with his bodyguard, crash lands. They are found by a woman, who takes them both in. Later in the episode, 7 years (or so) have passed, and the king and the woman have had a son, but they can never be safe, as the aliens continue to hunt them, and the episode climax is a battle between the king, his body guard, and some masked “ghosts” (a bit similar to the invisible man’s outfit) In the end, the king returns to lead a rebellion against his evil brother, and asks his body guard, to take care of his family. In the episodes that follow, the young boy, now an adolescent is causing a bit of trouble for his mother, and the sheriff, who is the bodyguard of the king. He somehow sets something off, and the alien assassins return once again. The boy runs away, as his mother sacrifice herself to destroy the assassins, and her entire house, with some sort of orb weapon, which speaks out to her (Think its something the “king” gave her) The boy is found by the sheriff, who helps him out, and begins to tell him the truth. (this part is a bit blurry) but in the end, a rebel ships arrives to pick them up, but much to the sheriffs surprise, their real goal is to take out the aliens sub-terrain base, constructed by the traitor brother, in order to aid in the coming invasion. During this attack, a series of 4 legged creatures (with a head shape, a bit like the alien from the aliens movies) And the sheriff is wounded. The boy takes the spaceship into the base, in order to rescue the sheriff, and he succeeds despite the ship being lost in the process. Back on the surface, the two survivors are attacked by an USFA fighter, piloted by an alien, but this is crushed by the young boy, using his “power glove” a sign of royalty to his people (I believe) As the sheriff dies, he tells the boy something important (which I cant remember) and the boy heads off again. In the episodes that follows, some NSA/CIA agent, an afro American, bald with glasses, arrive at the huge crater in the middle of the desert, and begins to unravel the truth and begins to search for the boy, who is now targeted by a pair of genetically altered humans, twins, a male and a female, both with white hair (I think) They finally catch up with the boy, and the male, stupid as he is, takes on the power glove, but his hand is nearly crushed in the incident, allowing the boy to reclaim his glove, and he is allowed to escape by the girl. Due tom their failed mission the aliens target them for termination, and kills their “mother” using a metamorph experiment. At the same time, the boy, now aided by Mr Agent with no hair, have tried to convince the president, at camp David, about the aliens, but they are set up in a trap, when they figure out, that the “president” they met, was actually the same metamorph who killed the twins “mother” the real president is somewhere else. In the final episodes, the aliens have begun to launch meteor fragments towards the earth, slowly destroying the Earth’s infrastructure. This is the reason, why the real president was not at camp david. He and his staff, conclude that an unknown force is behind the attacks, which are coming from behind the dark side of the moon, and plans to send mission to the moon. The sister twin tries to track down the boy, to get his help, but her brother runs away, and joins up with the aliens, and offer them a deal, they let him live if they get the boy. He has a connection to his sister, so he knows where she is. Having learned about the mission to the moon, the boy and Mr Bald Agent heads towards the launch center, but they are quickly tracked down by the male twin. The female twin, leaves the others and lure her brother and the alien assassins away. When the aliens figure out that the boy is not with her, they throw the male twin out from the chopper. At this point, the agent and the boy, are being inspected by a group of soldiers, but the boy is doubtful to their true intentions, and he uses his ability, to identify the aliens. I believe he says “I give you greetings” then his eye (glow?) expands. One of the soldier’s eyes does the same, and then all hell breaks lose, as the small team forces their way aboard the space shuttle and takes off. In flight, they are presumed by an USAF general, also an alien, who is aboard a stealth fighter (I think) and he tries to destroy the shuttle, but he fails and the shuttle leaves orbit. In the final episode, the team locates the alien base, on the dark side of the moon, and manage to destroy it, using some sort of “toothpaste” explosives. Standing on the moon (or their shuttle) they are met by a green spaceship, similar too the one the sheriff had requested to retrieve the boy, but it is the boys daddy, the king, now leader of the galaxy wide rebellion against his brother. The series, or at least the part they sent on TV ends with this. This describes the overall plot in the series, as I remember it. I hope this can help you, help me (say what?) finding out the name of this series. I have included some notes below; in case you don’t remember the plot. Notes: - The aliens say “Yosh” or something similar, to express when something’s “cool”. - The boy has some sort of glove, which gives those with royal blood, the power to crush and move things, some sort of destructive telekinesis - I think the boy may be named, Cale, Cade, or call, I am not sure, and it might be from a different series - The spaceships used, are quite special, They have a twin set of cannons, located in 2 “Arms” fixed on the top of the ship. The cockpit is a half sphere central between the two arms. The ship also has 2 lower arms, but they are only a fraction the length as the upper arms. - The rebel aliens, sent to destroy the alien ground base, does not use parachutes, but some sort of expandable metal glider, located on their back. I really hope you guys can help me out, with figuring out the title ![]() thanks in advance. Skunk Edit: If you think you ahve found the series, but are not sure, then i would e happy, if you could supply an image from it :p |

I'm POSITIVE it's a miniseries called Invasion: America. I watched it when I was younger and loved that show. It was one of the few American animations ever to air in prime-time as a miniseries, AND air as a Saturday Morning cartoon. A joint project produced by DreamWorks and Korean animators, the style was great. Here's a link for info from IMDB. If you need more here's:
The opening for the miniseries: ![]() The novel which sold pretty well: ![]() Full article commenting on the ompact of the show in the States back then, its style and the attempt to get Warner Bros. to get the series to continue: http://www.animationartist.com/InsideAnimation/IA.html Anything else, just ask. |

To the regular posters of this forum, I ask that you not identify anime requested in separate threads outside of the sticky. Otherwise, people will think, "Oh, I don't really have to use the sticky, I can do whatever I want." In the future, I may remove answers in replies to threads like this in order to encourage usage of the sticky. |
