No, wrong. Anno is credited for co-writing the scripts with Yoji Enokido. Tsurumaki is not credited for writing any scripts here.
Nothing terrible about making a mistake but it feels like Enokido is always forgotten about despite being the lead writer for such important shows as Utena and FLCL. Of course Anno's involvement is a delightful surprise as well, but...

I'm personaly not a fan Hideaki Anno's works, but I'm still looking forward to this show. It's not a major position (I think?) so I'm not too worried.

Anno is one of those names that overshadow everyone else's so people attribute the entire project to him even if his role is relatively minor.

Yeah, it's similar as to how Hideo Kojima's presence in a project overshadows the rest of the staff involved. I mean, not saying I don't like Anno or Kojima's work, but some of the headlines to this newly announced Gundam series are things like "Evangelion × Gundam", "Gundam goes full Evangelion", etc. I hope that when the series comes out we don't see a headline saying, "unlike other previous Gundam shows, this one focuses on the human characters instead of the robots"

I mean, Tsurumaki did co-direct End of Evangelion and the Rebuild movies, so those titles are still accurate.
