People don't realize that there is still an option to request arthouse independent/indie movie theaters to return anime movies of their choice than to rely on anime film distributors to bring back their anime movies of choice. Compared to the other when it comes to the process of returning, requesting arthouse independent/indie movie theaters is faster but at the same time a requested anime movie has to be properly licensed.

Not all cities have this many arthouse independent/indie movie theaters which makes it difficult to request an anime movie to return which is why there needs to be more in demand so that people don't have to wait nor drive this far. Arthouse independent/indie movie theaters are a good way to make up for an opportunity to see your favorite anime movie if you missed it's first run and that is why they are in consideration to be backup so that everyone can get their chance to watch the anime movie they all longed to see for their entire life.

The biggest advantage when it comes to requesting an arthouse independent/indie movie theater to return your anime movie of choice is that it is a good alternative instead of renting a movie theater since renting a movie theater is expensive. No one wants to go their way to rent a theater just to screen a Blu-Ray copy of their movie while being notified of your favorite anime movie returning to an arthouse independent/indie movie theater feels more satisfying and reassuring. Everyone deserves a chance to watch their favorite anime movie when it returns to the theater or to the extent that an extended screening would be much better for it.

From time to time, it took this many anime licensors/distributors to license as many anime movies under their belt before they become accessible to being requested to return to arthouse independent/indie movie theaters. Back then it wasn't easy because there were many anime movie titles yet to be licensed, anime movies changing licenses, and merging between anime licensors/distributors. The future is uncertain as to how the current anime licensors/distributors may merge with other licensors/distributors and/or new anime licensors/distributors form but all we can do is proud how far they came with the aid of anime film distributors who can also bring back old anime films to the theaters.

What year did you first started requesting arthouse independent/indie movie theaters to return your anime movie of choice? When did you learn that you can request arthouse independent/indie movie theaters to return an anime movie of your choice? How long did it take for you to wait for your anime movie of choice to return to the arthouse independent/indie movie theater that you requested? Did it get accepted or denied? If accepted, how did the attendance turnout go? If denied, did you try requesting it again before it got accepted and before that, were you told why it was denied? Did you at least get more than on person to request the same anime movie so that it can get higher chances of being accepted? Did you request it on an anniversary (5th anniversary and (or) 10th anniversary for example)? Did your arthouse independent/indie movie theater afford inviting guests such as writers, directors, voice actors, music composers, music bands, and artists for Q and A session and autograph sessions prior to the screening or what is rental exclusive?

In an era where anime movies are in the stage where they have yet to extend their screenings, requesting them to arthouse independent/indie movie theaters is crucial as it helps anime industry's business and shows support for arthouse independent/indie movie theaters. Requesting arthouse independent/indie movie theaters to return anime movies needs to be exposed more online and in person and it would benefit if arthouse independent/indie movie theaters make their presence in the anime community whether it be conventions, clubs, and online forums so that the future of arthouse independent/indie movie theaters look bright.

An interesting concept and I didn't realize this was an option. Not one I'm likely to pursue because, even though I live in a city where there are a fair amount of art house / indie theatres, I have a sense if I asked one of them, they'd probably ask me, "how many people do you think you'd be able to attract for the showing?" And being the honest sort, I'd have to truthfully answer: "One. Myself."
