That's great. Now release the latest anime legally overseas!

There's so much of the Space Battleship Yamato franchise that is unavailable in North America. I'd love to see an outfit such as Discotek release the original series and movies on Blu-Ray, with English subtitles. It's a classic that more people over here need to watch.
The remake series is pretty damn good, too. It certainly handles female characters better than the original. |

I am for this Idea of Discotek releasing Original Yamato inc the 5 Films. Also please release Yamato Resurrection, which Still has not been released in the US. All except Resurrection were on Video Tape and DVD. I think the Videotape of Final Yamato ended with the Wedding of Kodak and Yuki. I Love the intro Song to Star Blazers and its first 2 seasons too. Also…The Alamo Draft House could have a Yamato Movie Marathon as they are fairly old school in their tastes.

I wish Crunchyroll would pick-up with the Eng. dub of the remake where Funi left off. |

I am happy for Anno; he gets to work on his beloved Yamato.

Kadmos1, Discotek should pick up from Funimation. I Trust them for their…Gaiking, Fist Of The North Star and City Hunter Blu Rays Alone.

Agreed, though I feel like season 2 was weaker in that area. |

Just don't let Voyager mess it up as they have done with the original series and their failed attempt with 2199. Maybe even have a Resurrection with both endings.

If there's anything I'd like to see come out of this anniversary, it's series 2 and 3 finally getting a Blu-ray release anywhere. To this day, only the first series and the movies got that treatment.

It's hard to care about this when we never got the previous two Yamato remake works licensed over here and thus I'm not caught up.
Also with 100% more daddy issues. |

Kruszer, I was able to get Star Blazers 2199 and 2202 season 1 and 2 on Blu ray. 2205 and 3199 are not available yet. It is strange the Name Star Blazers is used as the names in the New Yamato were not the Americanized names of the original US version of 45 years ago.
