This is downright wholesome, but I really hope it isn't completely slice of life though, because there's a lot of holding back of the transformations and action going on, and there have been magical girl type live action shows with adult casts (also anime like Nanoha Strikers exist), so there's no excuse for having no action in this.

I see this is already getting the "why does this look like it's actually about something and not just the same thing rehashed, new things scare me" reception that Looking for Magical Doremi got.

It can be “about something” and also have transformations/battles.

What an awful reply. It can have magical transformations and battle scenes without having to rehash the same kind of story.

It's nice to see the gang back together. And able to drink together!
I mean, obviously there's a new threat so it's highly likely they'll all transform again, they just don't want to give it away yet.

Seeing as there's a possible new villain, I'm sure the cast will transform again.
I wonder if any other teams (besides Splash Star) will cameo.

I'm so hyped and excited for this. Looks like they are holding back for now in showing us the transformation even though a new threat/villain is going to be introduced.
