Episode 12 (season finale)

Silly me, I didn't realise that this was the last episode, which would have been obvious if I caught the very last bit that said a second season or split cour is happening. Maybe it was some element of I was thinking that it was only just starting to get interesting, or at least me invested.

I actually really thought about dropping this at the start of the season, and it stood on a precarious line of only just interesting or not annoying enough to drop, and started to pick up a little in the middle when Musashiwas having his whole thing with being rejected by swords. Before then it might not have been bad, just very typical that there was not a whole lot to keep me interested, that maybe someone a little younger would have been more drawn in by that first part.

But to be honest, even though I was just starting to get interested, enough that I was invested enough to see where it was going, I don't know if I will actually want to pop back in once the second season starts. I would have been interested if it really blew me away in catching my interest in a season climax, but I don't think it really reached that, and some mild curiosity might not be enough. But who knows.

My rating for the season will be Decent (6/10), I didn't really lose my time, I just am not sure if it was a whole interesting to be worth much more.

Season 2, Episode 12 (finale, episode 24)

Hmm, I don't really have a lot to add with the second season. Not that nothing changed or changed to drastically. It even had some kind of cool action set pieces, and evolved the mechanics of fighting and stuff. It is just in a grand scheme kind steadily decent, that I don't really have anything to add.

Second season is Decent (6/10), I just kind of wish I had more to say as if was any better or worse.

I like how bold the character design is, it’s fashion, as expected from Magi artist (the main lad boasting his shaven pubis with just a couple of stripes to cover himself at least a bit), but the project’s premise is so cliche that it is hard to give it a high rating.

Besides, the writing is lazy as things happen or not happen “just because”. Logically, the story should have ended almost as soon as it has started.

The second season is a bit better than the first one, though.
