Well, in the pictures, the outer clothing seems to have obvious seams. So perhaps, it is true.

aka a cast-off figure. Lots of shows and characters get them.

Nice to see it become real though!

Hope so. Kotobukiya isn't exactly known for cast-offs, but their quality is top-notch. Personally, often their style tends to be a bit too orthodox for my tastes.

The figure costs 18,700 yen (approximately US$164) and is expected to ship in May next year.

Usually the Japanese figure online shops have discounts if you pre-order, my pre-order is on Hobby Search, and it's ~$135. Of course, once you add shipping and Customs duty... I said 'Japanese' online stores, the English stores don't seem much keen on sales, j-list has this for $162, and that's a sale(from $180)...

This is my second Roxy pre-order, I have the one from Phat Company also;

I just hope their quality won't disappoint here. Phat Company is usually considered one of the top figure makers, but somehow I've been unlucky with my figures from them in the past...

If it has the detachable clothing mechanism, it'll be my first anime figure I'll buy lol. Great marketing from the anime.

Not my favorite character in this series, (that being Eris) but I'm contemplating purchasing this because inquiring minds want to know, and it's a nice looking figure.

The real question is....does it have that mole or not?

My issue with Phat figures is the quality doesn't always match the price. Although it could be argued figure prices in general have been steadily increasing.

---

I decided to pass on Koto's figure after seeing it's a 1/8. I already have Chara-Ani's Roxy (IMO the only one with a near flawless reproduction of Roxy's staff even if her hair color is off) and preordered Phat's Roxy. While Koto's figure may match up to them in terms of height, I'm afraid her proportions will look off next to the other two.

Since I never cast-off my figures, the gimmick will be entirely wasted on me.

I'll return it and ask for a refund if it doesn't have the mole Laughing

Koto should make a limited unpainted all gray version like from the show. It would definitely sell as a "prop" replica.

Eeh, that's not supposed to be there. I'll just rub it off...
