They don't seem to be, at least directly in character design or age. There is an actual backstory for them in the second Hi-Evolution film (where they were basically out of commission till the end of it) so it's neat they have an active role for the finale. Though the funny thing is that 4 of these girls were initially teased as members of Anemone's apparent idol group in Hi-Evolution 1's after credits trailer for 2: https://youtu.be/2nQ7T5W-lUY They were pretty much the only thing beside Anemone herself that carried over into movie 2 since all the other footage in that teaser didn't appear at all. |
