The controls weren't terribly bad.....until you did the ground segments where they didn't really work all that well not helped by the camera.
Okay game not as good as Triple Deluxe though.

What does this acquisition mean for gamers?
It means day one bethesda games for game pass, it means day one elder scrolls, day one availability for starfield, etc. Its great to be a game pass member right now and it's only going to continue to get better.

That Zenimax purchase makes it pretty obvious that there isn't much real competition between Microsoft and Sony in terms of resources. Microsoft could afford to make that purchase like 10 time with just the money it has on hand from their balance sheet. Sony can't afford to do it once. Times exclusives and blocking off characters in multiplatform games starts to look like child's play if Microsoft decides it wants to buy up entire publishers and every bit of IP that goes with them.
I could easily see Microsoft allowing games like Elder Scrolls to be on Playstation since it fits with their current "play anywhere" mantra, but they'll do it in a way that makes it more enticing to use Windows or Xbox. Those games might be delayed, or they might very well sell them on release day. With Sony seemingly embracing $70 for new games, it would be awfully easy to advertise that you could play them on day one for much less with Game Pass.
Honestly, this move has me at a point where I can easily see myself using game pass on PC, even though I plan to get a PS5 sometime. They're also going to have a payment plan for the Xbox that includes Game Pass that actually works out to be cheaper than buying the machine immediately, so Microsoft is making some pretty powerful moves.

- MS buys Bethesda: I'm haven't played any of Bethesda's games but I'm aware of their status and reputation so I was surprised hearing that MS bought the entire company. I'm more interested how this will affect the gaming landscape this generation, Xbox has a problem with exclusive titles compared to Sony and Nintendo, they're doing fine but it seems that no one talks much about their games compared to the other two. Now they have one of the biggest studios, though I agree that they probably are going to let Bethesda publish some games for the PS5 and maybe some small titles for Nintendo. I think the most annoying thing this buyout brought was that sense of fear among gamers that some companies are going to get bought, but as you said is not that simple.
- The end of 3DS: I still remember when Nintendo showed the 3DS to the public at the 2010 E3, it was the best console reveal they made in my opinion. I'd say the 3DS was a product of its time, everybody was still excited about 3D techonology (3D movies and televisions) but the novelty wore off pretty quickly, although in some aspects VR is kinda similar. I agree that the console had a rocky start, but over time it amassed a great collection titles, not as many as the original DS but still pretty good. I just hope that some of its games can be preserved for the future, maybe Nintendo can port some titles into the Switch, though the 3D effects and touch screen functions will be difficult to adapt.

A Link Between Worlds, Ocarina of Time 3D, and Pokemon X were wonderful fun.

The big titans are now here. Microsoft didn't buy ZeniMax Media because of Playstation - they bought it before Google or Amazon could buy it for their own streaming services
With Bethesda and id Software joining Obsidian and inXile, Microsoft can now be known as the go-to for WRPGs
So, Fallout: New Vegas 2 when?
