Nice. And reminds me of the question I've been thinking about again, back from the days of original release. How small is Midgar? Back then I guesstimated it counted its population in the thousands, not exceeding 10K unless we're extremely generous. The scale seems larger in Remake but the town still seems relatively tiny.
(And, where they get their food from?)

Pretty much where every other metropolis does, there's farmlands/ranches outside Midgar, and evidently also rail and highways as a way to transport...

I think it undercuts the atmosphere of the opening quite a bit to begin in daylight.

Yeah, and I'm not a fan of them splicing in a part of One Winged Angel into the opening either. I still have pretty high hopes for this remake though.

I was a little confused on that,like "shouldn't it be dark since you're under the plates and the sky's obscured?"

Midgard is the largest city in the world isn't it? It shouldn't be super surprising that its actual scale is meant to support tens of thousands.
