Doreiku The Animation (TV) Genres: drama, psychological, thriller Themes: fetish, gambling Plot Summary: People have always seen Eia as an emotionally distant person, so she's isolated herself more and more over time, accepting their words as the truth. But when Eia runs into Yuuga Ohta, she finds someone who believes in her abilities and introduces her to a world she never knew existed. Yuuga possesses an “SCM,” a device that allows people to take control of others entirely through participating in SCM duels. While Yuuga simply wants to use these duels to test his own potential, others are happy to use SCMs in order to trick people into becoming their willing slaves. Eia's powers of perception may shine in this new and menacing world, but she'll soon come to regret learning about the power of SCM. |

Episode 1
That was kind of fun. I was wondering if this was going to be this year's "King's Game" but at least at this stage, the show seems several cuts above that steaming pile. |

Episode 12
This was totally this season's Kings Game, but less fun. so mostly just bad. So there was a total of 23 of the SCM? These devices that became well enough known that they were supposedly being sold for a huge amount, but only the 23 weirdos in the show were the ones to get them? I did not like the show from the beginning, and nothing made it any better. It was horribly dumb with some rules too, like this last arc brought the rule it made part way through that the slaves cannot be ordered to do something that would put them in danger, but how does that explain the ice bath plot, she was certainly ordered something dangerous. Ghosts also popped up in the show too, giving a secondary personality, it being more than that because the mother personality acted beyond what he could know. Characters were also terrible, yes in the not great written, but a number were ridiculously evil in silly way that were just stupid. I give a rating of Weak (3/10), I wish that I did something better with my time. |
