I'm hoping they get Oonuma Shin to direct them, he usually directs Silver Link shows and he's one of my favorite directors. Also I'm hoping they get full length episodes or at least 15 minute episodes. I've only read three chapters of the manga and so far it was funny and pretty cute.

I don't have as strong of an aversion to it as you, but it is mildly frustrating that any motherly character by default is paired with a small boy. Some kind of obsession with the power dynamic I guess.

My only gripe is that shows like these get a pass but if you flip the genders it becomes horrid and disgusting.

No, there isn't a single one with a similar premise but reversed genders, and there never will be, because of the "niiiiiiiiiiiiiiice" effect.

Okay, perhaps there isn't any specifically about a male landlord and a female middle school student, but that wasn't the point.
Though I guess Ooya-san wa Shishunki is close, but it just flipped the ages rather than the sexes. |

So to be clear, there isn't a single series where an adult male (and other older males) constantly make advances on a little girl. That kind of series would never make it on TV broadcast, to say the least.
