My money is on the humans going extinct before Godzilla.

As much as 3d cgi anime gets hated on, this looks great so far. I honestly cannot wait to see this film.

This really does look pretty ugly. CGI done wrong, yet again.

Polygon makes some of the coolest stuff right now. Really cool that they are pushing good 3dcgi animation too. The style really fit the shows they make. Really hyped for Godzilla.

The best I can mange with 3DCGI is to tolerate it. I don't think it'll ever get to the point of "good" but I can say it has gotten better.

What would be good, one that looks like live action film or one that manages to match 2D animation? It may be possible for it to eventually forge its own animation character as standard animation took decades but before that can happen, do... faces.... right. Stop trying to paste a 2d mouth on a 3d face. Stop animating them like they have a rod up their butt. People have necks, learn how they look and work in 3D... and don't just use spacesuits to hide it.

Godzilla? Oh yes, Godzilla. It's Godzilla. Don't let lasers fire out of his butt and I'll call it "competent", Seriously, I can't judge it until I see the eyes. Intelligent eyes, beast eyes, demon eyes, dead white eyes, frog eyes... don't ask, it's not a popular suit design... fish eyes. How Godzilla see the world is how the camera sees Godzilla... and his role in the film.

Ah, his role in the film is supposed to be a "twist"? It's "planet of monsters" and there's three movies so I didn't expect Godzilla to be the "villain" for long.

The 3D for the humans is ugly but looks OK for the G-Man.

Always fun to see the wildly divergent opinions on every new CG project that comes out. Laughing

I like the sound effects in the PV so far, so that's a good sign. The CG looks alright. Not quite on the level I was actually expecting though, to be honest.

There's the people getting paid to spread publicity on various places online and then there's the honest opinions. It's the only explanation I've got. I mean, this here is pretty much eye cancer level. I don't think even a mother could love something so ugly, but a broke guy with some bills in his pocket? Hey, I won't judge.

Or maybe just bots. And with AI it will get harder and harder to tell.

I'm not seeing Berserk level CG yet.

The CG looks weaker compared to the recent netflix Gantz & Blame but I'm interested, looks cool. Godzilla looks a little too glossy so he looks like a toy, but this trailer was a tease so hopefully it will be better in action.

Again, Polygon demonstrates their mastery of CG but neuters themselves with their need to look 2D.
