Right now it feels more like Konami way of saying No. No new singles/albums, no new independent concerts, it's all LL sunshine in the future (probably a few collaborations). Yes, they are not breaking up, but it still hurts to see the group was "halted" for an indefinite period of time.

So probably nothing new coming out and no more Love Lives, but they'll still be playing the occasional short set at collaborative shows. Not breaking up... but not really together either. Bummer.
Well, hopefully Aqours gets plenty of funding for albums, live shows, and an anime series. µ's Mk II, gooo! |

But it gets pretty sad to see the truth spread out if µ's does go separate ways.

So basically, they're done making music and doing big independent concerts but there's still a chance they might appear as a musical guest at events where they share the stage with others?
Does that mean they might still perform at events like I HEART Anisong? |

I'm confused at the whole thing, So the voice actors that are in the anime actually sing together in real life as a group? Does this mean no more anime?

Yeah, μ's does live shows with all the seiyuus. LoveLive/μ's were put together from the ground up to be part anime, part real idol troupe. I haven't had a chance to watch the movie yet, but I think it's safe to say the anime is wrapped up. They'll probably try to make a new LoveLive anime set in the same world following a different idol group (Aqours). |

I don't understand why it's a surprise to anyone that μ's will, either now or eventually, break up. The entire point of school idols, which was brought out rather bluntly in the anime as well, is that students graduate from school and move on.
The entire Love Live concept is a variation on the idol production machine that brings in idols, brings them fame and/or uses them for a while (depending on your point of view), then replaces them with new idols. Hence μ's will be replaced by Aqours, who will in turn be replaced, if the Love Live machine remains popular enough long enough. Don't get me wrong, I love the Live Live anime and I am greatly attached to μ's characters. I would also expect that the overwhelming success of the Love Live School Festival mobile game means that the seiyuus from μ's will still be around a while, putting out more singles and attending live events. But it's still clear that Love Live as a concept was designed to bring in idols, and then bring in their replacements, and again, and again. Of course whether the transition to Aquors will be successful or not will be interesting to see. |

But that's what happens when you tie your musical group on characters of ephemeral TV series.
Anyways, incidentally: Rating of NHK's 'Kohaku' music show drops to record low |
