Hmm, I think I'm the only one here who got that... I'm quite sure Bandai is never going to release it though, despite how much I deperately want it (and no fansubs, wtf? All I can do is watch the raws. It looks so awesome, I want it). They even had a freakin trailer for it... but all plans seemed to have disappeared into the void now... Personally, I find this to be worse than Eva, since they even had release dates (more than one) for this announced as well as packaging designs, voice actors, and pretty much everything set up, and now everything magically disappeared and hasn't been heard of in months... I am convinced they set this up solely to piss off people like me off... Oh, getting off-topic. As far as this live-action Eva goes, I'm thinking I may possibly like this more than the anime. That is, if it doesn't drag on like the first half of the anime. Second half of Eva was good, I fell asleep multiple times during the first half (I am not kidding, I really did). That's actually a very clever clip that someone (who has too much time on their hands) has pieced together for the LA movie IMO.
As an aside, does anyone here really care if this movie gets made or not? I've been hearing stuff about it for the past 3-4 years, & still no one has any concrete information about it, aside from the pre-production art that Weta Workshops produced ages ago. It's gotten to the point where I just don't care anymore, about this, or the whole 'Rebuild' thing their touting at the moment. I love Evangelion, but I'm tired of it being flogged to death, & just wish that Gainax would let it die gracefully.

Hard to believe, though. I've heard enough rumors to dismiss anything about this, so I'm sticking to what I know.
On the other hand, akitainu, get reado for some serious laughing if you're getting Di Gi Charat Nyo. I've seen it on Animax and though it's not my kind of humor (yeah, me: sourpuss), it's fit to make ya laugh. |

I cant wait for the movie to come out, so hopefully, it comes out early in 1-2 yrs time. I hope they choose a well-known director and cast as well, that can play each character just as the way they are in the anime, well maybe not shinji cause u know...

No, technically, it's still autumn for another three weeks.
Not that I'm exactly holding my breath that we'll hear a major announcement about the Live-Action Evangelion movie (a.k.a. "LAEM") within the next three weeks. Or ever. Sorry, I still don't believe that it will ever get made without major studio backing. |

well as long as they dont add in the equation of 'the whiny b*tch formerly known as shinji' it might work. just as long as the anime connection isnt made known. then it will DEFINITELY bomb. 200%

if they took out the entire point of the film, then it WOULD bomb. This would be like making a LotR movie, but taking out the hobbits cause they are short and who likes short people? |

T7S probably thinks that if a connection to the anime is made, then everyone will hate it since most of America hates anime and prefers watching some cartoon about a talking sponge in a business suit.
