I wanted to ask this question on a One Piece discussion thread, but II couldn't find any. If there is one, can someone put a link to it ?

Now to my question: I read articles on the internet and watched videos on you tube and other places maid by people who say that One Piece has elements, signs, and symbols that represent the Illuminati.

Some of the videos and articles have been blocked or deleted. Is that True? If it is, does it have any affects on any of the characters' personality in any way?

And why are those videos and articles blocked or deleted?

Videos were likely blocked or deleted because they used content without the permission of the owner and with the intent to diminish the value of the work.

That said with all the crazy settings, characters, and the thousands upon thousands of pages of manga that Oda has drawn, it would in no way, shape, or form surprise me if there were multiple symbols that people with tin foil hats think are linked to the Illuminati, Masonry, or whatever super secret powerful organization they think is pulling the strings.

No idea. They could exist or they could not. I'm sure you can find a more suitable place to discuss conspiracy theories than a web forum dedicated to Japanese animation.

I don't think so. All I know is that many of One Piece's characters are based from true people/pirates like Blackbeard. That's the truth.

There's an old thread that used to discuss symbolism in anime, so maybe a helpful mod could merge the two threads? Considering the length of the series though, you should probably provide some more detailed information (which episodes are talked about etc.), 'cause you haven't given us much to work with other than loose rumors. Wink

I have nothing but what I posted, most of the things that I found

I analyzed them and debunked them, and asked one of my friends

who is a fan of the show and he agreed with me.
