I also find this odd, considering she's not composing the OST, and she generally only composes theme songs for shows she's also doing the OST for.

It's not the first time. iirc, she only worked on Angel Voice in Macross 7, RahXephon's OP themes (both the show and film) as well as Oban Star Racers' opening and ending themes. It's rare indeed.

I hope Kanno's too busy with Macross Delta to work on Logos.
The new composer's style is different, but it's not bad, if Logos's trailer and Infinite Fafnir are any indication.

I'm definitely looking forward to the new Yoko Kanno/May'n collaboration, but I still wish they would have brought back Akino since she was the main artist for the previous Aquarion shows.

Yoko Kanno/May'n collaboration gave us Sheryl that will take some beating Diamond Crevasse remains in my top 5 still to this day and its atleast guaranteed to be a great soundtrack
