This is the anime from my childhood. So old that I barely remember the details of each gold saint's clothes.
However... I'm sure of one thing: Camus doesn't have that, uh, spray nozzle attached on his cloth.
I wonder how they'll compress all those duels against the gold saints in (presumably) around 120 mins long film.

I'm surprised they went this route. To be honest I know very little about this series. I'm afraid if I started looking into it I might have to devote myself to the other arcs and that's a bit much. Last time I had any exposure to Saint Seiya was when it was new back in the 80's. It was definitely the talk of the town but no where near that when compared to DBZ a decade later.
I have to admit this is interesting. The animation doesn't look to bad, but it reminds some of the facial expressions reminds me of 'Oblivion Island'.

It's expensive CGI as far as anime is concerned. Just recently finished the Harlock movie myself, and good lord does the style not work well. It's too close to uncanny valley in several places.

10 billion yen, huh? Goodbye production committee's money, hello bomb. I'll be blunt. This won't dent Frozen in the slightest. Frozen is in its third month in Japan. It's only HALVED its weekend take from its March opening. Frozen made over 760 million yen on opening weekend, more than Harlock did in its entire RUN. Harlock is more popular in Japan than Seiya, so nope, Frozen will still stomp SS. I can estimate Frozen doing 26 billion yen before its video release. SS will be lucky to make 300 million yen as its TOTAL.

Seiya probably has more popularity among the general younger populace since they've made a whole bunch of recent anime, and it has more fans internationally. If this movie cost the same as Harlock, they'd probably get themselves into the black, but not if it costs as much as ANN has estimated.
