I'm REALLY interested in this~

Between this and "Insufficient Direction" (kisses to Vertical btw) we're getting a substantial body of literature about Anno! It's fascinating how he as a figure is kinda crossing from "celebrity" to "legend" in this way.

Does anybody know which station will broadcast this drama?? If it's Fuji TV, then the chances of this appearing on Dramafever, Crunchyroll, or Viki could be possible.

Aoi Honou isn't really about Hideaki Anno, though; he's simply a side character/supporting role. This is a fictionalized version of Kazuhiko Shimamoto's early days in making manga, with Anno & others simply being classmates of Shimamoto's.

Oh yeah, I gathered that much from the article! Thanks for clarifying how big the GAINAX boys' roles will be though, that's interesting stuff to know! The show looks like it'll be neat and educational overall! ^^

You can't just look like an emo an be Anno. You have to be a self-serving geek a-hole, and that dude looks too much like a "normal" to pull it off. But I guess it'll stroke the real thing's ego that people will actually believe he was handsome once. Razz

I have somehow never even heard of this manga before but it sounds pretty funny.
Has Anno made any comments on this? Even though he is just a supporting player in the manga, does he feel it accurately represents him?
