No it's not. Cockroaches are gross and hated. I'm glad there will be new material. What also would be really nice would be a re-release of season 1 and a release of all the others, especially season 2.

I just want everything past the first season released in the US. At least Crunchyroll has most of it.
OVA's could be neat. I wonder what chapters they'll go for? Most of what hasn't been adapted yet is the long-arc/plot stuff. They could still squeeze out enough side chapters to fill three OVA's though, so I dunno.

Well, in my opinion, Hayate anime franchise died after season 2. Manglobe did a really poor job on translating the same mood/feeling we had with s1/s2 and the manga (until Volume 27/28).
I guess these OAV will probably be the same : Full of fan-service, bad chara-design, no plot, adapting chapters no one care about.
But hey, even the manga is becoming non-sense, so i don't really expect anything from this franchise anymore.

I don't think so. The series has a fanbase and I'm glad it's getting more anime. Ofc I'm looking forward to this.

The moment they handed the franchise to Manglobe, they just killed it. Don't get me wrong, I like Manglobe. But they really should've kept up with J.C Staff or at least worked with Synergy once again.

I'm also cringing at the inevitable inolvement of Manglobe. I love Hayate but Manglobe is dragging it straight through the mud.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!! Where is Athena?!
"The new OVAs will adapt various stories from the original manga that have not yet been adapted into anime. "
Yeah.. How about that Greece/Athena Arc? Or the Manga Competition? (Probably not)

As far as I'm concerned the anime is simply 'there'. After catching up to the manga (finally) I can safely say I don't have much interest going back to watch the same gags over again. If they finally animate the Athena and Ruka arcs proper I'll be back then out of curiosity.

I hear that, but man as far as I'm concerned more animation of something I like is never a bad thing. It is why I tend to prefer original material if they're just going to do silly stuff, though. Jokes I already read don't have the same punch unless the animation adds something to it.

Every Hayate fan wants the 'End of the World' arc adapted into anime and the executives keep pissing away a lot of money by animating anything other than that. I question not only their competence but also their sanity.
