Maybe there will be a Clamp-like supernatural explanation for the "Kurumada star system", like saying Ryuji, Kojiro, Seiya and Teppei all share the same soul or something. Or maybe they'll all fight together and constantly get mistaken for each other.

Can't really blame you for saying that, though (even as a joke), since Saint Seiya is Kurumada's international hit. Kurumada's Star System goes off of his first hit title, Ring ni Kakero, though. Therefore, if any lead looks like anyone it's RnK's Ryuji Takane. Honestly, though, not every Kurumada lead looks exactly like Ryuji: Kojirou from Fuma no Kojirou looks more like RnK's Ishimatsu (with some elements of Ryuji), RnK2's Rindo Kenzaki (appropriately) looks like a fusion of Ryuji & Jun Kenzaki, Okita from Akane Iro no Kaze looks like Dragon Shiryu, Maya from Evil Crusher Maya looks more like Cygnus Hyoga, & Zaji from Raimei no Zaji looks more like Kenzaki. Finally, RnK's Kiku Takane looks like Kurumada's very first lead character, Rei Kojinyama.

Simply going off of the title, though, it seems like this new manga will simply be a retelling of the Suikoden/Water Margin story, with the 108 Stars of Destiny being represented by Kurumada characters. Also, it's apparently being drawn by Yun Kouga according to the promotion, so it won't look exactly like Kurumada's style.
