Pretty much, any good manga that are popular get churn out into an half ass anime adaption. Hopefully this will help the series now that classical music will likely be included.

Let's hope it gets the music it deserve. My only gripe with Nodame as of Volume 4 is the inability to hear the Cantabile play of hers.
Then again, seeing the trend in the likes of Negima and (original) Hellsing, I'm not sure it'll be good.

I think one should view this upcoming anime in the context of the Notinamina timeslot rather than in the context of manga adaptations in general. Granted, Noitanima doesn't have a really stellar track record when it comes to being *faithful*, but they all have pretty high production qualities. If it helps, this is being directed by the same guy who directed the first Honey and Clover series. I'd expect him to be faithful to the manga.

There is really only one person right to play Nodame in the anime. I think that would be Mikako Takahashi, the actor that played Yamada in Honey & Clover, and seeing who is directing the anime, I think it would totally be possible. Anyway, any thoughts on who should play the different characters?

I for one am incredibly happy this series is going to be both a drama and an anime. Although I didn't mind the first season of Honey and Clover, I thought it was slightly boring due to lack of plot advancement, this I am assured is because the manga only had 3 volumes out when the anime was being produced. I believe Nodame is up to volume 14 or 17 (I can't remember) so the director should have solid material to work with. I am a HUGE fan of Nodame and am excited! This is going to be so cool!!!
Yay! Finally I will be able to hear her play

I was at the bookstore checking out the first few chapters of various manga there, and I immediately liked Nodame Cantabile. I love seeing anime adaptations of manga I enjoy, though admittedly sometimes the anime isn't too great. One thing that worries me (pessimistically speaking) is the animation's timing with the music. It looks weird when one character is playing something that doesn't match with the notes I'm hearing.
