NEWS: Young Jump Editor-In-Chief Arrested for Attacking Taxi Driver

So, if the driver wasn't injured, how was he attacked exactly?

the suspect allegedly grabbed the driver's arm, uttered, "I'll kill you," and other words, and left without paying the 710-yen (about US$7) fare.

The suspect was reportedly drunk at the time, and told the first-responders on the scene that he paid the fare. The driver was not injured.

That still assault, and threatening a person. That's against the law. The worse part is he said when he was drunk.

For only 710 yen. (How far did the taxi go?)

[or first-post-kun could be making some sort of stupid point about how people who make threats shouldn't be treated as some sort of criminal you know because free speech! and chilling effect! and "if we criminalise threats to kill we won't know who wants to kill us until they do it" and then probably segue into how people should be able to talk about their child-sex fantasies without social stigma because nazis, or something.
