A while back I watched the first episode of a comedy series about regular school boy whose life is pretty plain until two strange girls tranfer to his school (I know I know...). As it turns out the one girl is a daughter of the demon Lord and other is the daughter of some Angel King something or other nonsense. Apparently, the two fathers have decided that the boy (can't remember his name) is two marry one of their daughter...humilation ensues...etc...bah bah bah...
Know, I probably won't even like the rest of the series but that isn't the problem. I can't remember or even find the name of the damn thing and its beyond irritating. Help me before I lose my mind going through every anime of the last 3 years in the encyclopedia multiple times. |

I have not seen this and know nothing about it, but I looked at the ANN rating, and it is 7.4, which is good, 319 votes. Could you tell me what was so aweful about this one, if you care, just curious as your response was so difinitive. |

I also didn't like it. But I only saw the first two episodes. It just seemed like an extremely generic harem series. I heard it gets better though. |

I wasn't interested in Shuffle! at all until I read this post that was started midway through the series...after that, I went back and DLed the episodes. It is a pretty typical harem/dating-game series for awhile, but at the middle and end, it picks up and heads into the kind of serious/dramatic territory that most harem anime don't touch. You might still think it's a bad series, but it's certainly better than what you see in the first 2 to 5 episodes.

I think the reason most people call it bad is because the first 1/2 of the series has a stupid filler feel to it, but the later half of the series is really good, as it steps out of the harem genre and gets very dramatic... true it is a harem in a sense, but it shows what happens when the guy finally starts making a decision...
I would have called this show a stupid harem if I only saw the first 8 (i think), but my tendency to see a series all the way through (unless it's really bad), let me get past the "filler" episodes, and I'm glad I did... has anyone here seen the whole series and still thought it was bad? personally I thought it was a masterpiece, the way it tied everything together towards the end, it's one of those rare romances where something actually happens... edit: I also remember stopping for about a year after ep. 1, I was expecting a supernatural action oriented show, but imagine my surprise when I saw the stupidest concept I had ever seen, God and the Devil best friends?? damn... i've been corrupted by my catholic school...

I'll have to agree with Zero. The first half is entirely stupid and uneventful (though I did enjoy the interactions between Asa-sempai and Rin). However I did stop at episode 16 just when it started to pick up a bit. Most of the people here who have said they didn't like was mostly due to because they only saw 1-2 episodes. Skip the first half and stick with the rest of the episodes following and you'll probably enjoy it a lot more. Truth be told Asa-sempai was the only character that I could watch without getting annoyed.
