I’ve done all the forum searching and website browsing to no avail so I hope someone can help me out. I’m a huge Kurosawa fan and there’s nothing I would want more than to go out and buy all seven LE volumes of Samurai 7 at 40 bucks a pop but I’m poor so this in not reasonable. What I want to know is if I buy the non LE dvd’s will there be a collectors box released with the final disc to hold the entire series? Most shows have a box with the first or last volumes but I’ve heard nothing about it in this case. My questions also applies to the Planetes series. I am collecting the 2 disc editions but there is still no word on a collectors box.

One last question. Has anyone heard anything about a Signature Series release for R.O.D the TV, since it’s a Geneon title ? BTW sorry if this is in the wrong place or if it's been answered somewhere on the forum already. I really did try to look, for real I'm not lazy. Pls help. thanks

Have you even bother to check on rightstuf for Samurai 7 artbox? Don't be lazy and takes like 20 second or less.
There is no box for Planetes though.

And the signature series are for older release (pre-geneon, pioneer days). So maybe wait a year or 2 before R.O.D. the TV series become a cheap "signature series" disc.

And if you want to save money, buying online is the best option. 18 Dollar per bandai dvd rather than 30 dollare at a b&m store.

LOL sorry , I just checked out rightstuf, saw the collectors box. In my defense I buy from them often and I had never seen it b4, it is on preorder for july 06 so I guess it could have been added recently. thanks

Wrong. You're thinking about this.

Whenever you see the word "artbox" is refers to a box to hold the entire series. Therefore, darkhunter's first link was correct.

[Edit: I was typing this while jg00neg replied.]
