I've been wondering about something.....
Viz's Shonen Jump, the edition printed here in the U.S., is called by Viz as more of a "Greatest Hits Collection" of Shonen Jump's most famous works. So, I was wondering, wouldn't it be cool of they were to publish Go Nagai's original Mazinger Z manga in GN form here in the States? True, they'd probably have to publish it under the Shonen Jump Advanced label, but even then I'd be happy. You see, Mazinger Z was not only one of Nagai's most famous works, it was also one of Shonen Jump's biggest succeses. Nagai pretty much ruled the anime/manga industry during the early-to-mid 70s, not to mention that it was one of the first giant mecha. I am familiar, however, with the problems that such a publishing venture might have. Nagai's work is notorious for its....shall we say, questionable content. Mazinger Z was no exception. In fact, the only work by Nagai that's currently being published in America is Devilman, and that's from Glenn Danzig's independent Verotik label. So, what do you guys think? Would it be a good idea? |

never heard of it but i think they should add another title but they did saw they were going to be adding small sport amnga section or something like that.
