HOLY SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT!
I really love this manga. Trinity Bakuma does a wonderful job translating, and I'm pretty sure all of GnB fans are going to be pretty happy as well! Can't wait for it! I just hope they make it a good adaptation, unlike Elfen Lied's. (which was rather incomplete) |

Great news. I wonder how they're going to adapt this, since the manga is ongoing.

Great news. I've been following this manga for awhile now. It does feel a little bit like Elfen Lied but I'm faithful that they will adapt this well with over 50 chapters translated.

I knew this was coming eventually but I thought it would wait until the manga got further along. The manga is a bit more censored than his previous works which I believe was done to increase the chances of getting an anime. Unfortunately because the manga is still ongoing so we might end up with an alternate ending just like Elfen Lied. I'm not sure how far along the story is because the English translations have been lagging behind the releases. Trinity Bakuma does really good with scanlations but the price is that their releases are too slow.
I don't normally follow new anime but now I have something to look forward to. |

The japanese manga is very far ahead of the english onespoiler[ there is a character on there very similar to Lucy it's not her but they act like her ] |

By "censored," do you just mean "more restrained?" I think it'd only count as being "more censored than his previous works" if there was anything to censor to begin with, and if there were mosaic markings or it became publicized knowledge that Okamoto had to censor himself for the sake of the publisher. I haven't read this more recent manga of his, but I imagine things are just less graphic, right? Hence I think that'd just be "restrained." Semantics aside, would a lack of more explicit content in the original work really contribute to increased chances of getting an anime? I'm unaware of anime like Berserk or Elfen Lied having trouble getting off the ground due to the level of violence in the manga they were based off of. In any case, I think I'll check "Kiwaguro no Brynhildr" out. The Elfen Lied manga proved very interesting. And if the art towards the end of Elfen Lied was any indicator, this should start off looking fairly nice.... Okamato's come a long way since those initial chapters of Elfen Lied. |

So, I did my research, and according to this website (http://www.animenation.net/blog/2004/03/16/elfen-lied-anime-announced/) Elfen Lied had its anime announced at March 16, 2004, and it started broadcasting July of the same year.
I wonder how GNB will work. Apparently, EL had about 70 chapters at that time, the same ammount Brynhildr has as we speak. On the other hand, Elfen Lied latest volume was 7, and nowadays GNB will have its 6 volume released in a few weeks. I really don't know what to make of it. |

Elfen Lied is notorious for its use of explicit nudity and violence. This notoriety has become attached to Lynn Okamoto so he has to make a deliberate effort to separate Brynhildr from his previous work. Compared to his previous work, the manga contains less explicit violence, less ecchi, and no areola. Elfen Lied was released in 2004 but the industry has changed since then. Extreme anime like Berserk are becoming are becoming less and less common. The industry is moving more towards shounen type stuff because it sells better. The original Elfen Lied anime is popular in the west but was never well received in Japan. Toning down the content of the manga is a common sense move to help convince the industry to give him an anime. |

Uhh...no. The industry is not moving more towards "shonen type stuff" and certainly not because it "sells better" Have you even looked at what the top selling anime are? Or are you just ~assuming~ you know what you are talking about due to talking to people on English Language forums? |

It also depends on what people mean by that, because Lucky Star, High School Of The Dead, Highschool DxD, ToLoveRu Darkness, etc are all Shounen too
Or one can say the industry has moved from Seinen on to.... Seinen again, given the popularity of such shows as K-On and Hidamari Sketch |

All of those series you listed are Seinen. Not shonen. Well, the ones that are manga are. DxD is an LN, so it doesn't get classified like that. But its basically Seinen. |
