I find it weird that I just started this manga today. But, I suppose 18 years is a long run time for a manga, but due to its hiatuses, it wasn't able to finish as early as it could have.

So.... just exactly how many more chapters have been released between the thirteenth volume and the announcement of these two chapters? (Have only been keeping up with the manga s far as the Library would allow me; i.e., the first 8 volumes.) I hope that the 14th volume will be more or less full-sized, 'cause that'd suck if the whole thing was just two chapters! Razz

So, I guess that means that Viz' last omnibus volume will be only 2 volumes instead of 3... Unless they find more content to stick in it at the last minute. Well, glad I've been picking them up and can finally have the complete set (since stupid vol 9 and 10 are freakishly expensive...)

I wonder how long it will take for the entire supplementary material for the Rebuild series to rear its head.

I was a first-year junior high school student when this manga came out, and now I've been graduated from college for like 3 years when this manga finally be finished. -_-
I love the story tough, I hope it's worth the wait..

18 years in the works, and under 100 chapters.

Meanwhile Ippo long since passed the 1000 chapter mark.

Too bad Ippo probably will never see an official English release.

Finally. Cannot wait. Sadamoto's take on Evangelion has been excellent and I look forward to see how he wraps things up.

Ah, timing the final chapter to coincide with the release of the fourth movie!

Man, what a strange feeling. Like an end of an era. I'm curious to see how the manga plays out since I'd heard others say it had touched on the Rebuild plotlines but also delved into things all its own.

I've only read up to vol. 4 iirc; due to availability issues I was hesitant to purchase the series, but now with the release of the omnibus editions I'm thinking I'll snap this up (they're a little bulky to hold, but the quality is worth it).
