So I've been watching more new anime this season then usual and along with that I've also been seeing more new anime OPs and EDs then usual. Some of which I actually like quite a bit. I will say this for anime, like it or hate it there's a lot more going on musically in the anime industry then there is in American TV.

At this point my favorite OP of the season is Attack on Titan
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XMXgHfHxKVM

I dig its driving tempo and epic feel.

My favorite ED is Devil Survivor 2 The Animation
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JST5HQahfhc

Kind of got this creepy lead in that turns into a really uplifting pop balled. Also, I think I dig this song more then the show itself.

So at this point, these are my favs. I can't wait till full versions of the songs come out latter in the year. They'll get heavy rotation on my music playlist for a while.

EDIT: Wait... is linking Youtubes of OPs and EDs against the forum rules? I'm a little unclear on that. I don't want to go to jail.

No, that's fine. Links to unsanctioned streams of entire episodes would be removed, however.

And I agree that Attack on Titan's OP is probably the season's best. I am still undecided on EDs.

Folktales from Japan's "Arukou" ED is so...I dunno, soothing without being overly preschool-cute.
Friendly teddy-bear animals, and a theme trying to do its best faux-Ghibli imitation of Jo Hisaishi (among other possible elements of Totoro-envy on the show).

(Although it's better with the sunset "Coming home from the teddy-bear picnic" animation--You could almost imagine Sakaki from Azumanga Daioh had designed it.) Smile

My favorites from this season:

Shingeki no Kyojin OP:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XMXgHfHxKVM

Toaru Kagaku no Railgun S OP:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yOYIixp6THA

Ginga Kikoutai Majestic Prince OP:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p--l966vCVo

I am also unsure on the ED songs although I do like Valvrave's ED. I'm also curious on when its OP song will debut as I haven't found the Opening song yet anywhere. The songs I've mentioned stood out above the others in my opinion for the way they are orchestrated.

Attack On Titan's OP is definitely great, and I'm also rather enjoying The Severing Crime Edge's OP each week. Gargantia has a pretty peppy, optimistic opening too, even if it doesn't totally fit the show so far.

As for ED's go, strangely enough my favorite this season is from The Flowers of Evil. Something about that creepy, synthesized voice is haunting and fascinating.

Like everyone else, I also like Attack on Titans opening.

The 2 endings I like are-

Toaru Kagaku no Railgun S ED - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_7R-HS0AFs0
A cute song showing Mikasa and her spoiler[clone]

Yuyushiki ED- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uygd04LcdNU

Shingeki no Kyojin OP
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XMXgHfHxKVM

Frantic and nice, stylish and cool, and I really like the orchestra/chorus song. Plus it seems to be the subject of a lot of MADs so I guess that's how you can tell people love it.

Pocket Monsters Best Wishes: Decolora Adventure ED
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z9eXqMyFvHc

See everyone from the Isshu region and past rivals like Shinji and Shigeru is nice. The song is cute and gives a lot of insight on what's to come and what has ended. A nice choice to end the final arc of the series with.

Honorable Mention:
Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal II Opening 5
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NHg86VQ2lR0

Hard to say no to anything both Aoi Yuki and Ayana Taketatsu sings. Plus I love those 'stuffs about to get real' openings when the story hits its stride with the city being blown up and destroyed around them and the planet pretty much falling apart.

Might change later as I see more stuff this season.

Like many other people, Attack on Titan's OP is my favorite of the season. Something about Severing Crime Edge's OP tickles me as well.

One that hasn't been mentioned that I like is the OP for Arata: The Legend (can't find a good Youtube video for it). The animation is pretty generic, but the song is ridiculously catchy and kind of epic. I like the harmonies. Just something else it has in common with Fushigi Yuugi, I guess.

My favorite ED is easily Flower of Evil's. The creepy, discordant, lurching song is the perfect way to end every episode. It perfectly matches the eerie, discordant tone of the show and the way it blends in with the last scene of each episode sends shivers down my spine every time.

+1 on Attack on Titan's opening. It's eerie, gives the perfect mood for the show and the lyrics are very fitting. From the moment the first verse "No one remembers the names of the trampled flowers" rang, it struck a deep chord within me and I've been crazy for it since day one.

Honorable mention to Mushibugyo because it's so simplistic and catchy and the artstyle reminds me of Katanagatari

My favorite ending's got to be Gargantia's. It's sweet, cute and the sudden close up on Amy's face and the night sky is beautifully done. The song is simple and beautiful too.

Honorable mentions to UtaPri for extreme manliness and Arata for the nonsense homoerotic stuff going on that apparently is completely unrelated to the series.

Valvrave's OP and ED beat it all for me. Gargantia's OP and ED sound average compared to them. T.M. and Nana has the song, "Preserved Roses" to a powerful tee. Angela's (<3) Ed of "It's Not Me" perfectly fits well with the show's theme.

"Preserved Roses": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jo-c7Vv2N80
