Well, that's interesting. I'm just afraid that this will give people more reason to see anime and automatically think, "PORN!!"

So . . . will these be actual comics, "manga style" illustrations, or what?

Arghhh. That was my idea Sad
The female market for porn is one that has been ignored for too long! Profits are just waiting to be made! I want to start my own porn empire aimed at women with yaoi as its main seller. And be the coolest graduate of my uptight women's college Very Happy

I thought yaoi was already pornographic by definition.

The way some folks draw it, can it even be considered Yaoi?

Probably because some artists draw their ukes so feminine that they may as well just be writing het. I mean, it's technically yaoi, because when the uke gets their clothes taken off they have the correct assets and everyone acknowledges the character as a guy, but facially (And often in terms of personality), the uke's so stereotypocally girly that it really doesn't feel like yaoi at all. That's what I'm assuming was meant by the comment anyways....

Female porn. Now what I, being female, would like to see, is erotic stuff made for women, that's NOT FREAKING YAOI! Don't get me wrong, I like a good yaoi story from time to time, but isn't there anything else to read?!?

In Japan yaoi is pornographic.

The way the term is being used in North America now, it's being used to refer to all boys love (or shounen-ai if you prefer) comics, including many that are not pornogrpahic at all.

Unfortunately, providing examples is in a sense, considered to be a violation of the TOS.

Hit me off, man! I'm not The Frankboy, I'm The Frankman! I can handle it!!!

(reads the Wiki definition . . . Shocked) So . . . in the Family Guy episode when Lois took the marital arts class, became super tough and told Peter to "lose the clothes" when he was in bed, basically she made Peter her uke . . .

I lose at controlling my emotions and maturity. Embarassed Rolling Eyes

Yeah, I really hate that. Shoen-ai is the proper term, but for some stupid reasons annoying screaming fangirls call it all yaoi. Unfortunately, the stupid industry has done this as well. Now I wouldn't mine checking out some Shoen-ai. I belive one book I have and love, Clover from Clamp, has some as a side story. Yet count me out on the yaoi. Leave them over at the pornographic doujin booth at cons with the guy scremaing to the fangirls, "YAOI! Get your yaoi here!"

Man, I remember a girl came up to our anime club's booth on activities day and asked what we thought of yaoi. I think I shuddered and said as long as she doesn't start screaming about it, it'd be done. I should told her we don't allow pornography and pointed out that shoenen-ai is fine. Our former president even bought a tape of Fake not knowing what it was. Though she was female. Though she did also accidently get Jungle De Ikou. Yeah, never showing that again.
