I hope Crunchyroll is able to stream the second season much like they did with season one!

Given that CR pretty much gets the majority of late night TV shows, whether at the beginning or someway through the airing, I don't think there's much to worry about. The question is rather: what do FUNi and Sentai get exclusively.

The spring series I'm looking forward to most. Really hope NIS or Sentai pick up both seasons.

It'd be nice promoting the original source, like with any adaptations, to have people experience how it is. Laughing

honestly the only real life figure that has any gripe and hence need to spin in their grave is Oda Nobunaga. the first of the three unifier of Japan. Now relegated to being either portrayed as evil, either a Demon or some sort of vampire monster, or the few times he is portrayed positively, he ends becoming a moe girl.

Arthur Conan Doyle probably has at least much gripe as Lovecraft, with Holmes basically getting the same treatment as Oda, a plucky moe girl.

I totally agree with you and it appears that the sales of Lovecraft's works did get a boost in Japan because of this anime series. He was one heck of a writer.

Link to article discussing his influence in anime and the uptick of sales.

He was seen as mostly positive in Toki no Tabibito, but that's a well-forgotten film from the 80s. It's also one of the few times where he's just a normal human, even though the film itself is about time travel.

If Nyaruko's making him spin in his grave, I don't want to see how he'd react to Demonbane. Laughing

His grimoire of unparalleled power being reduced to a little girl, Elder Gods being giant robots and time loops, oh my.
