I wish someone would license the anime for this, it's way better than Hidamari Sketch and they released the whole of that.

Nope. Hidamari Sketch is better than Sketchbook.

Still, I would like seeing the anime of Sketchbook licensed as well.

Sketchbook may be better than the first Hidamari Sketch, but definitely not the latter seasons combined.

I could see RightStuf releasing Sketchbook under their Lucky Penny label. They licensed Aria which is by the same studio and has a very similar feel as Sketchbook.

That's interesting that you say it improves, maybe I'll see if they have some episodes streaming on Sentai's streaming service (I bought the first season on DVD but I don't really want to buy anymore without previewing it first).

I agree, if anyone licensed it it would probably either be them or Sentai Filmworks (as they released Hidamari Sketch and Someday's Dreamers and... that one about the girl in France which looks interesting but the title of which currently escapes me, just generally Sketchbook seems like their kind of show).
