hi guys
i'm a HUGE fan of ANN and i just wanted u to have some fun on joining us in this poll  (and i dont want Edward to lose to some stupid char like Sasuke  )
there is an Arabic website for animes and manga that's having a contest between some famous anime characters ( gamefaqs.com style) from the new generation anime characters ( naruto - FMA - inuyasha .... ) and old generation anime characters ( captin tsubasa - future boy conan ... ). the two winners of these two categories will compete against each others at the end we will find out who is the greatest anime character ever. Note: the selection of the charasters in this contest was done in this website's forum along time ago. and this is it's first year ^^" it's been a while since this contest started and now it reached the final battle in round one. it's between Sasuke from Naruto and Edward from full metal alchemist. PLEASE VOTE FOR EDWARD BECAUSE HE'S WITHOUT QUISTION IS BETTER THAN SASUKE.. to vote just do the following : - enter the website here http://www.true-gaming.net/anime/archives/2005/05/oeuoeuuoe_oeuoe_6.html#more - to vote for Edward CHOOSE the SECOND CHOICE .. to vote for Sasuke Choose the first choice  ... because the whole thing is written in Arabic ...

I second that. Although Ed is a great person with a lot of character, I'd take Sasuke in a one-on-one fight against him. The supernatural elements of ninjutsu vs. the scientific calculations of alchemy are an unfair match. That is, depending on how you want to interpret each of their abilities and all. Actually, one day after watching an episode of Naruto I asked a friend of mine "would you rather be a Konoha ninja or a state alchemist?" He and I both chose Konoha ninja, simply because alchemists are constricted to the limits of science, whereas just about everyone and his brother in Konoha village can pull of some kind of technique. Ninjutsu can do a lot of things, and I'd like to have more options in fighting when all I need is some chakra .

Ya, that would be really cool... but we would be stealing gamefaqs.com idea, they have been doing the voting for who would win battles thing for years. Then again I think that would be really fun and add a new dynamic to the site!

What would be the point of utterly mindless polls? What purpose would they serve and what intelligent discussion would they provide? Also...which Edward IS this, anyway? There's more than one in all of anime, y'know. Is it Radical Edward from Cowboy Bebop (who, until just now, I thought this thread was referring to), or Edward Elric from Fullmetal Alchemist, or Edward Harrelson (alias "Ed the Ripper") from Gundam SEED Astray, or what? |
