Yay! A reason to renew my subscription!
I think this is the only winter season show that interests me this year.

At first I was all, "This is a horrible idea for a show."
Then I saw Junichi Suwabe in the cast and my fate was sealed.

Makes sense, having a heightened sense of smell is probably one the best tools one could possess for doing detective work. Sights and sounds fade, smells linger. Other than that, I'm not big into detective work, whether they be anime or live-action procedurals. Great Mouse Detective and Tony Stark with Sky Captain are about all I can take.

First one this season I'll add to the cue. I think I only have room in my schedule for 3 new shows this season.
Vacation's over. Back to work.

My big question about this show is whether it's a serious procedural with lots of focus on the supernatural main character and all his background drama (which is par for the course in these things), a doesn't-take-itself-seriously wacky, even campy, off-the-wall comedy, or something in between.
The first episode might provide some clues on the series' tone...

I can't see how this could be an overly serious procedural considering the arch-villain is a money-eating goat.

A money eating goat, you say? I bet he's motivated by a really tragic past and, undoubtedly, a femme fatale in the form of a pistol wielding bunny rabbit...
